Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist (ATEC)

ATEC Test

The child assessment test (ATEC) was created to help parents and doctors assess the effects of autism treatment.
The maximum score is 179, the higher the score, the higher the degree of progression of the disease.
15 points or below indicate that a diagnosis of autism cannot be made.
A child without specific neurological disorders has a score of 0 or very low values.
It is good to take this test from time to time to check the effectiveness of the interventions we undertake for the child's treatment, 2 or 4 times a year.
ATEC tests are officially recognized in the USA for diagnosing children.

The test includes the assessment of:

  • speech/language/communication

  • socialization

  • sensory/cognitive awareness

  • health/physical development/behavior
